Skills Development and Pathway

The ActiveSG Para Sport Academy (PSA) was launched in March 2022 to provide more opportunities for para sport participation and development. As an integral part of ActiveSG Academies & Clubs (A&Cs), the PSA integrates disability and mainstream sports and provides regular, structured training by qualified coaches, and competitions complemented by other development activities. Together with our partners, aspiring para-athletes will benefit from a pathway spanning recreational participation to high-performance sport. Currently, the PSA offers 10 sports including Para Athletics and Para Swimming.

Founded in 1973, Singapore Disability Sports Council is the national sports body for persons with disabilities, aiming to transform the lives of persons with disabilities through sports. SDSC provides platforms for learning sport and trains talents to represent Singapore at regional and international competitions. Our success stories include Yip Pin Xiu, Singapore’s first Paralympic gold medalist, and Toh Wei Soong, a two-time gold medalist at the Asian Para Games. Persons with disabilities can look forward to SDSC’s programmes and events that can help you discover your talent and potential for sports.
